What is Construction Law?

It’s a well-regulated area of law over the construction industry reliant on a series of well used contracts specifically designed for the industry including the JCT and NEC standard forms which sit under an umbrella of construction related laws and regulations dealing with all aspects of building, construction, health and safety and environmental protection.

At Macgregor Law, we represent our clients quickly and strongly in various parts of the dispute mechanisms provided for in the construction industry, most regularly in the adjudication field in terms of the Housing, Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act (Construction Act) which is a quick method of resolving disputes.

These adjudications are held under various nominating bodies, work very well and are highly cost effective. Where necessary these decisions are enforced in the Technology and Construction Court. At Macgregor Law, long, drawn out and expensive litigation matters aren’t seen as a viable option. Quick and nimble adjudications are.
